BOPA Patrons

Late Lord Tarsem King: Lord Tarsem King of West Bromwich was the founder Patron who shared the vision of BOPA and gave inspiration to BOPA founding members to form “British Organisation for People of Asian Origin” in May 2012. Sadly, he passed away in January 2012.

Lord Bishop of Coventry Dr Christopher Cocksworth: Lord Bishop Christopher gives the moral inspiration, support and guidance to BOPA team and is always supporting its activities. His love for all the people of Coventry is exceptonal and members of BOPA team always feel blessed.

Baroness Shreela Flather: A role model who inspires women in the BOPA team of volunteers. She was the first Asian woman to receive a peerage and gained attention for wearing a sari in the House of Lords. She was recognised as Asian Who’s Who Asian of the Year 1996. A candid lady, Baroness Flather is fearless about stating her views. She is a distinguished supporter of the British Humanist Association and an honorary associate of the National Secular Society.

Rev Upashak JI Bhatia: General Secretary of Nirankari Mission in UN & Europe and is one of the most respected elders in British Asian community in UK. A well known personality, his passion is to promote oneness amongst people from all communities.
